RSWWCOND job failed

Hello,

Background job RSWWDHEX failed.

Job log says:

Job started

Step 001 started (program RSWWCOND, variant &0000000000000, user ID WF-BATCH)

SUBMIT authorization WF_DEVLP required for program RSWWCOND

Job cancelled

When I double click log Performance assitance pop up saysing :

You tried to start program RSWWCOND. However, you do not have the necessary authorization (authorization object S_PROGRAM, field P_ACTION = SUBMIT. The system checks the contents of the authorization group field in the program attributes (in this case, "WF_DEVLP") against the values in your user master record in the field P_GROUP

But user WF-BATCH has sap_all , sap_new

I can see that sap_all profiile has S_PROGRAM object with values *.

Is this authorization related or somethings else.

I hope this is the right forum for above query.

Pl. let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Regards,

Tushar

Hi Martin,

Yes WF-BATCH user has started the Job ( checked Job step )

WF-BATCH user has sap_all, sap_new authorization.

Also few jobs are finished successfully at the same date:

Job started

Step 001 started (program RSWWCOND, variant &0000000000000, user ID WF-BATCH)

'0' entries have been edited

Job finished

Hi Tushar,

Are the jobs with the error by any chance started at a time when another job for the same program was already running? It could be the wrong error is generated in the log. As some jobs run without an authorization issue it doesn't seem to be an authorization problem. On the other hand it makes it a lot more difficult to find the real cause.

Hi Tushar,

Just to be sure, could you check the job if the user stated as the starting user for the program in the Step is also WF-BATCH? It is for this user the authorizations are checked, not for the user who planned the job.

I know sometimes the authorization message isn't always the correct one, or it is misleading, but ask an authorization expert to take a look. Maybe he can find something more with an authorization trace.

Martin
