Create Custom Page Layout

Hi,

I need to develop a new page layout for my portal. I have developed the required JSP and edited the Portalapp.xml files. I have also uploaded the PAR file into the portal.

I have verified that the PAR file is uploaded from Sys Admin->Support Desk->Browse deployment.

But when I try to create a page using the layout I have created, I do not see it listed in the layouts.

Any pointers? Please help.

Make sure that you have the permissions setup to use this newly created layout...

Thanks to all ...

I had made a mistake with the portalapp.xml file.

Hence it was giving me a runtime exception.

The problem is solved now..

Hi,

Did you mention the layout as 'Template' in its properties? Open the Layout & set the 'Object is a Template' property to 'Yes'.That would solve the problem.

Hi,

Have you already created the layout at the portal side? After the .par upload you need to create layout and then you can create page based on that.
