Hi all

When we go for File to Idoc Scenario where do we collect Idoc on R/3.

For this Scenario I don't have a Business System so how can I proceed.

Hi,

Creating Business service for outbound and business system for inbound ,

and then creating partner profile in R/3, and putting correct process code(we64) in Partner profile would help u in collecting the idocs.

If You Dont want to Use Business Sys Means U Can Use Business service

There is no Problem of Using the Business Service in File to IDOC Scenario Also

You Can Create a Business service in ID And Assing the Outbound And Inbound Interfaces.

Hi,

We go for File to IDoc when you want to send information from Legacy system to SAP.

You need to have a busyness system/Business Service to make the systems to communicate. One for Legacy system and another for SAP system.

Hi,

Use a business service if you don't need a business system. In R/3 idoc directly posted. If you have a scenario where you need to collect the records then send to r/3 then you have too use BPM.

With no SAP system, importing the idoc into XI becomes difficult

Otherwise you import via Imported Objects > IDocs.
