The key points:
While trying to import data into Employee Central for Job History, the system shows the following error message.
[Failed to perform country specific validation. Please ensure this record is associated with a valid Company record for given dates.]
Employee Central - Import Employee Data
Navigate to Admin Center -> Import employee data
Import Job History (Incremental/Full Purge) and see the error below:
The issue/error may occur due to several reasons.
It happens when country can not be determined for some of the records and even if a single record fails in fetching the country, whole import file fails. Country specific fields are validated and populated based on the country. Hence under deep investigation several approaches are used as below:
1) Sometimes due to missing legal entity views this error exists. Please disable and re-enable EC V2 from provisioning to re-create the missing views for this instance. Once the missing view is available, you should not see the reported error message.
You can also regenerate the missing legal entity views from UI. Please follow the below steps :-
1) Go to 'Admin Center' or 'Home' > select 'Reports'.
2) Click on 'Analytics'
3) Click on 'Ad Hoc Reports' > Create New Report
4) Select Report type: Single Domain Report and Report Definition type: Foundation Objects.
5) Click on 'Create'.
6) Click on 'Columns' > Select Columns > On the left: Legal Entity > On the right: start-date
7) Click 'Done' > Preview.
This will generate missing views for legal entity due to which error existed.
2) Please check and confirm the effective start date of legal entity which you have used for the records having error.
3) You can also try creating a new legal entity and then import the records using it. Check if the error exists. It will confirm if the issue is due to legal entity.
4) Due to incorrect date format for the start-date field in job info import csv defaulting to the default locale of the users, this error pops up sometimes. Please have a look at date-formatting.
If it still does not work, please raise an incident with Customer Success with details to investigate further.

Patrick
