My customer make a weekly planning based on transaction IW37 (operations). To make this visible they want to use the Gannt chart option from the menu.

when we go tho this gannt chart , the result is not very hopefull , can someone tell me if there are any settings or is what you see is what you get.

Thanks for answering this question.

Best regards ,

Jan

    Hi Pete,

I (the customer) use the transaction ZW37 , who is a copy of IW37 (and some custom shortcuts in the menu).

We can say that from the transaction IW37 the export to the Gantt chart , I have some questions about I say above.

    Jan,

There is no gantt chart button or menu option in the standard IW37 report.

Is the functionality in your ZW37 similar to the Goto->Planning Board menu in IW39 or IW49N?

Which menu or button are you using in ZW37 - can you send an image?

    Hi Pete,

First you make a selection in the transaction IW37 , then you select a number of orders in the list and then you select the menu item 'Go To' , in this menu you have 'Scheduling overview'. This overview is based on a Gantt Chart.

I have to admit that we in Europe use planning for scheduling and not for work preparation.

So I have it here over scheduling :-)

I like to now if there are some settings to make and also where can we save this settings because every time we leave the diagram and come back we have to do the settings over.

As you can see , the edit menu is only display.

OK, so you meant the Scheduling Overview option..

That appears to be hard-coded in include program MIOLVC20 (form MIOLVC20).

If you are using ZW37, then you could get your developers to copy this code and amend as required.

But bear in mind that SAP graphics aren't that great.

You could also investigate pushing the data out to Excel for btter graphics.
