Automatic release of blocked Invoices

Hi All,

Scenario - A PO is placed with GR based IV unchecked. The vendor is sending the material & invoice to us. But the material is to arrive from overseas & hence there is a delay, but in the meantime i have posted the invoice in the system & the system blocks this invoice. I can check the blocked invoices in MRBR. At the moment to release it, i would have to use transaction MRBR, but I would like to know is there anyway, that the system can be configured to automatically release this blocked invoice, once the GR for that material is done, without me having to use any t-code?

Any financial guru, who can help me with this issue??? I would like know is there a possibility to define, the release procedure for blocked invoices? Where i can define, block the invoice, if i do not see a Shipping Notification in PO, but release it once i see a shipping notification in the PO. I can schedule a MRBR to run each night with automatic release, but i would like to know where i can define that condition.

I believe this is possible, for better clarification I would post this question on the MM forum as well.

If the invoice matches the value of the product from the PO and the quantity is correct in the GR, then I dont see what the problem is.

The question is how does a GR posting affect the removal of a block to a Finance invoice.

Hi Mark,

Is there no configuration settings in FI/Co to check this? I believe that since the Invoice is blocked by the system as GR does not exist, there must be some configuration settings in FI to check for this? In the meantime will post this question in MM forum as well.
