SAP HANA Express Edition Database Master Password issue

I have downloaded HANA Express Edition 2.0 SPS 1. I have changed hxehost password successfully but then it is asking me to change HANA Master DB password. I believe this is nothing but SYSTEM user password as mentioned in its pdf documentation as well. Howvere when im changing this password im getting error:

I putting new password as alphanumeric with combination of lower and caps as well.

Anybody faced same issue please advise.

Thank you

    Hello Sudhanshu,

From your screenshot it seems that the password has been successfully changed for the SystemDB and XSA, but that there was an error starting the tenant database HXE, i.e. there is nothing wrong with your password.

Therefore, please log into the HANA Cockpit and ensure that the tenant database HXE is started. Then change the SYSTEM password of that database, e.g. from HANA Studio.

    Very best regards

    Hi Sudhanshu,

This might be the case where the system is starting up and same time the hdb sql kicked in trying to change the password. Could you please logout and log back in as hxeadm. The init script reruns and should be able to update the password successfully this time. Please make sure to give the same password you have provided before. Please let us know incase of any further issues.
