WORKFLOW

Former Member

Hi,

I have created a WORKFLOW with the custom BO with super type as BUS2032.

I need to get the WF to be triggered when the sales order is getting created.

For this I went to the SWETYPV tcode and gave the event linkage between BUS2032 and the Custom WORKFLOW.Now the problem is that when the sales is getting created the WORKFLOW is not getting triggered. What could be the reason behind this?

Please help.

Thanks,

Supriya Manik.

Hi Supriya,

In the header information of the workflow ( in SWDD) go to the 'Start Events' tab.

There mention the BO BUS2032 and its event 'CREATED' for which u want to trigger the workflow.

Activate this event and save.

activate the worklow.

switch on the event trace using SWE4.

create a sales order.

go to transaction SWEL and check if the event got fired or not.

hope it helps.

Sonal

Hi Sonal,

When do the EVENT Trace using SWEL the WORKFLOW is listed.

Does that mean that the related event is triggered??

When I check the details I am getting the message

"Password logon no longer possible - too many faile".Whats meantby this?

I am using the Receiver FM as SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT.

Is it the right one to use??

Please help.Your help is awaited.

Thanks ,

Supriya Matta.

I am not sure..... but you may need to refresh the buffers using SWU_OBUF I guess.

or

try making a consistency check (TRX SWUD) if everything is ok, go to PFTC and enter your WF template. Go to folder "Triggering event", you should see a row with your BO and event and a green bullet. If the bullet is gray, it means that link is not active, just click on it and you'll be answered for a customizing CR.

Save your WF and activate it then go to SWUE and raise your event, you should get a message like "At least 1 receiver found".

one more point also...........

actually there is one more receiver function module...

SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF can u check that one also....

n better to check ..........

SWU3 (Configure RFC destination).

Activate the event trace (SWELS), and check if an event gets triggered at all (SWEL), if this is not the case, check if change docs exist for triggering an event: (SWEC)

And also try to post these questions in the apropriate forum, i suggest, you click on expert forums, then CTRL+F and then type in workflow, to find that forum.

Kind regards, Rob Dielemans
