this program is used for transfer of Legacy Assets to the R/3 System.....i.e. bdc method

used for bdc programming.

In the seclection screen It asked two inputs.

input file name , error session name and three check boxes.

what is the full meaning of those fields what we will give exactly?

Hi

The Input fields meaning of

input file name: you have to pass the file name from which you wants to upload

the asset data

error session name: If some error happens for the records those errors are to be stored in a session as log

so here enter some name, and in SM35 you can see the same session and check the log if any. after the Upload ..

three check boxes are:

1. Test run: if you check this data will not get updated in database tables of the asset master, just it will run the transaction but updation doesn't occur.

2.check this check box if you wants to run the transaction in the foreground

by checking this check box you can check one or 2 records in foreground then after confirmation you will run for a number of records.

3. This will list the structures that are used in the process of the transaction, without any process happening.
