Can the "Relative File Name" be changed for a model?

Former Member

When checking out a model from the repository, the "Relative File Name" that will be checked out is displayed in the "Check out Project" window.

Can this name be changed? The model was originally checked in with the wrong file name, and we would like to fix that.

Look for this line in the file -

<a:RepositoryFilename>Path and file name</a:RepositoryFilename>

Finding the file name on the Project (*.prj) file is trickier - look for the actual name, not the tag.

YES. You can open the model using a text editor. Search for the name and change it.

Do the same for project file.

When I use "File, Save As" to save the model in a different file, the filename tag in the model file is updated, so a manual edit isn't necessary. However, the new filename doesn't persist when I check the model out again later, even after I've checked in the model as a baseline.
