Hi,

I am working on VC with BI queries. i am new to this VC and I am stuck

at a place .

I have data service as BI query of Gross Turnover and trying to

display the results in a Chart form .. after doing the required steps

when i compile and deploy they are getting deployed without any errors

but when displaying the data after i enter the values in the input

form( say compnay code and profit center) , i get a a mesg " No

applicable data" .

But at the BI system end, our BI consultants verified saying that they

are able to see the data as per query .

Can u tell me where am I going wrong.

need ur valuable inputs..

Thnks,

NR

Does the BW user that is mapped to the Portal user that you use in VC the right one and has enough authorizations to see the data?

In VC launch the Query editor and execute the query. If you don't see data there, then you have the wrong authorizations or filters.

Hi NR,

Have you configurred the chart, did you provide the information for series, which you see in the lower right part, you must add a series and provide which values you are going to represent on axis. If you done this and still the problem persist, then there would be designing problem. Did you connect the input form chart properly, also check what are the fileds you selected for chart output, might you missing the field in the output. Check these and try once again you will get it.

Hi NR,

I would like to suggest you to test the query in storyboad itself with the data you are giving at the runtime. As you have said that the BW colleagues can see the data from the query with the same input, it would also be a good idea to check it from Visual Composer. Also check whether the data mapping of the input form is done properly with the query.

Hi Nidhi,

sorry for the late reply.

I have checked that in the storyboard of VC , there too after entering the Input fileds( say Profit center and Company code ) , I get a Error message " No Applicable Data "

I have crosss checked with the BI consultants, they are able to get the details from that query that i am using in their Query Analyzer

Can u provide me ur mail id so that i can mail u some screenshots of this issue and the steps i have followed for this .

Thnks,

Please don't send stuff around, post it in the forum. This way we all can help and others can also profit. And Nidhi might not have the time to help you.

Did you try all the things that people in reply to your original post suggested?

1) Look atthe user mapping in your portal (Port to BW user): is this the right user in BW?

2) Go to the Query editor in the VC and try to execute your query there. Look for more details of what top check in the VC WIKI under SAP BI:
