Transport Problem with workflow.

Hi,

I am facing problem in transporting the workflow from development client to quality client. But i was successfully transported the request from development client 100 to testing client 110 client all the workflow related stuff was transported including the org chart .But if transport the workflow from development 100 to Quality client 200 the organizational chart are not populating .

Please can any one explain me how to check whether transport has been done correctly or not. What are tcodes related to this stuff...

Have you transported Workflow or org plan?

Hope you hav run swu_obuf after transport.

Hi swetha ,

i saved the all the configuration and definition part of the workflow in the corresponding the workbench and customizing request . the customizing request holds all the tables related to org plan .I have given these request numbers to transport to other clients. But it is not populating the org chart .

Do i need to run SWU_OBUF in both clients after transport( means both source and target system).

can u explain me in detail what is procedure to transport the workflow stuff to other client.? i am very new to this stuff

run it in the sytem you have transported and then check first.

Hi,

Let me explain the landscape :

the transfer from D7-100( development client ) D7-100( testing client) - was successful

But the transfer from D7-100 to Q7-200 is not happening .Now do i need to execute the tcode SWU_OBUF in Q7-200.?

Are you transporting some Responsibility or Org Unit. Please check in the relevant transaction whether the Org Unit Exist. If it dies not exist then code accordingly relevant the sy-sysid. This is more interactive. Please reward points if useful

You mean to say transport got failed? If you are transporting tasks then remove the agent assignment to the task, make the task general task and then do the agent assignment directly on stage.

Hi,

We can not assign the agent in the QS7 system . It will be in display mode.it won't allow us the change the definitions .whatever we have created in the development server needs to populated in Q7 by transport only.

You can do agent assignment in a task even in display mode.YOu don't need to go to to pftc_chg , you can do it using transaction pftc_dis.
