Crystal Reports XI 4.0 has barcode font resizing when printing to PDF

Our Crystal Reports prints correctly when printing directly to a printer, but when printing to PDF, we are seeing a large font size difference more than 5-15% but closer to 75% reduction in font size. The ForceLargerFonts registry entry is already set to 1 in the registry, yet we are still receiving unusable barcodes when printing to PDF prior to printing to a printer. Are there any other modifications we can make that affect this font resizing when printing to PDF?

Hi Tyler,

What PDF print driver are you using? Try Adobe's it works. A few third party drivers do have issues, I've escalate the problem to R&D and they say they need to fix their software.

We are working with the SageX3 ERP system that has an internal PDF printing software. I am working with the developers to see if we can't get a little insight into the PDF printing side to view any available settings. If this issue is coming from the side of the PDF Printer and not from the output of Crystal Reports, I will happily pass the buck over to the ERP developers to work on.

You can still try exporting to PDF from CR Designer to confirm it works in CRD, if it works there then it could SDK causing the issue or could be Sages PDF driver.

FYI, Some Sage products are dropping or have dropped Crystal reports as their reporting tool, not sure if they will fix it or not.

Ask them if that version is still supporting CR and if they are they can log a case and we can look at it from our side also.
