personalized vendor list

hi!

While making PO,there is an option that one can select certian vendors and insert in personal list.

And when next time you access the vendor list your personalized list would appear first.

Is there any setting in config which controls this?

Hi,

There is no config required for this, you simply go into ME21n or whatever transaction you are using, then select the possible entries, then select the vendors from the main list and click on the "add to personal list". This will build the personal list and this will be displayed instead of the full list every time (you can then see the full list on request by clicking on the icon that looks like the planet)

i tried exactly the thing you said and its working also.

But for some of the users when they go to personalised list it stays there for a while and goes back to general list and again they have to go through same process.

ofcourse this is not big problem but quite irritating.

any guess why it happens on its own?

If you have saved a personal list this should not disappear.

Has the system been refreshed at all?

Are the lists disappearing or is the system displaying the main list instead of the personal list?

what happens is when u login on the system for the first time,personalised list appears and just disappears in split second and general list is displayed.

but this happens only for first login then onwards u get the desired list only as you said previously.

Sorry but this one is not that easy to solve.

It sounds like it could even be linked to the GUI (a long shot), has the GUI been updated recently?

There is a setting somewhere (Well hidden, I can't find it again) where it controls if the personal list is displayed first or if the main list is displayed first and then you have to ask for the personal list. This is unlikely to be the cause because it would simply change the default to one or the other.

So it is not looking like a simple config or setting, that is why we are having trouble helping. It does sound like a technical problem.

I will keep looking when I get a chance, but it may take a while.
