WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in SAP Business ByDesign

Dear Experts,

We need an advice.

Is it possible to create/use WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in SAP Business ByDesign.

We are facing a requirement to analyze projects costs on a monthly basis so the easiest solutions for us can be WBS elements but we are not really sure if they are feasible in SAP Business ByDesign. Could you please advice.

Hi Sujeet,

Yes, it is possible. In ByDesign projects we don't talk about WBS elements but tasks only. The benefit is that tasks have both WBS element as well as network activity features. By ordering the tasks in a hierarchical way - e.g. in the WBS view in the project UI - you can achieve what you are looking for.

Cost reporting, e.g. analytics report "Project Cost and Revenue by Project Structure" will then show cost and revenue in a hierachy.
