Depreciation key field is in display mode

Hi Gurus

i am selecting depreciation key for Tax bal in oayz

Area Depreciation area Deact Depkey Use Per Index Layout

01 Book deprec Y111 15 0 1000

15 Tax bal sht 15 0 1000

20 Cost -acc Y111 15 0 1000

Now i am unable to select dep key for tax bal sht. dep key field is in grey color.

please tell me solution it is very urgent

Hi Check the screen layout rules for asset class make sure Dep key feild is maintained at asset class level

Here select u r layout and the click on field group rules make sure for dep key check box under Class coloum is ticked

Fine it is required field but make sure it is maintained at class level.Check box under Class column should be ticked

My Client implemented in 2003:

01 Book Depreciation area

20 Cost Accounting Depreciation area

Now they want to implement 15 tax balance depreciation area.

Please let me know the process clearly rajini. if you know.

Its is very urgent rajini

Hi

Krishna hopefully previous problem is solved.Pls follow the steps

1.Copy dep area 15 ( t code OADB).If dep area is already copied make sure it is active (t code OAYZ)

2.Make sure from tax dep area No values are posted in General Ledger (t code OADX)

3.In t code OABS mark tax dep as special dep.

Rest of the steps are same u have to define Dep calculation method and assign dep key to Dep area.

Pls let me knw if u r getting some error will try to help
