Mandatiry field in Material Marter

Hi Friends

I am working on IDS system, when i create new material master record, i found too many mandatory fields which are not supposed to be. As we can control fields in CMR mandatory or optinal similarily how we can make fields in MMR mandatory, optiolal or supress.

Go to

IMG > Logistics - General > Material Master > Field Selections >

Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups

Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens

Define Industry Sectors and Industry-Sector-Specific Field Selection

Define Plant-Specific Field Selection and Plant-Specific Screen Selection

Define Lock-Relevant Fields

But It would be better if a MM Consultant does it for you, as they know the exact setting requirements.

go to spromaterial management-masterdata-- define screen layout for material masters.

here u can do the required config.

hi,

while u r creating material master, Select the views which is required by you and make it as default type. then also u r getting the same error, let u send me the mandatory fields, i will go thru and clarify it for u.

Still this problem could not be solved, i followed the same path, I am basicaly in SD, as in SD we can see all the correct field name, but i could not find any field name of MMR in Logistic General-master data-field selection and .....
