Payroll Run

Former Member

I have one employee - Hire Date - 1 July 2007

My control Record shows the Payroll Period as 09 2007 01.09.2007 30.09.2007

First Question: Why does the control record show the payroll period as 092007, when we are still in 072007?

Second Question: When I run Payroll, the payroll is run for three periods (I am only running for one employee and there are no other employees in the Payroll Area)

07/2007

08/2007

09/2007

Why? I expect it to run just for one period.

Hi,

It based on the generated Payroll Periods. You can change the period in PA03 and run the payroll.

Good luck

Hi,

Because your control record is set for 09/2007, iit runs payroll for your employee who has started 01 july, so it runs payroll for 07/2007,08/2007 and 09/2007.

Hi,

You can use the t-code PA03 and modify/create a control record as required by your company. Before creating a new control record, you need to have a payroll area, payroll modifiers set. A control record consists of payroll area, payroll period, payroll status, earliest retro accounted date and last changes made. This will tell you who made changes to the control record.

Hope this helps,

Hi Jack,

Go to PA03 and modify the payroll period to 07/2007 (you have to delete the record and create a new one).

I dont know why the period is set on 09/2007... may be some one else in the system is testing something? You could see the username of the person that modified last time the record and ask him/her.
