http and mail adapters

hello friends......

I am new to Xi.So i need a small clarification could u plz... give me details about it. Is there any relationship between http and mail adapter communication.

If there is any relationship what is that and tell me interview point of information on these two adapters.

hey

from interview point of view,you can have tons of questions on any adapter.

but most common ones dealing with HTTP and Mail can be

1)difference between SOAP and HTTP?

2)Different parameters used in Mail adapter?

3)Where does HTTP runs ?

4)Are attachments possible with Mail and HTTP?

5)How to do message splitting for multiple HTTP channels?

6)Troubleshooting HTTP and mail adapter?

you may have other questions as well,the above are just few which i have in my mind right now

No there isnt any relevant realation.

The mail adapter is used to send and receive mails from mail servers, while the HTTP adapter helps application systems the option of communicating with the Integration Engine and exchanging business data using a plain HTTP connection.
