Sending messages to external email's

Hi ,

I have configured SMTP connection in my solution manager box. I am able to send the test message through client 000.

But when sending the test message (using t-code S00) from other client 400 I am getting the following message

"No recipient specified - is the distribution list empty" Please note I have also tried creating DL with external id using S023 , still it does not work.

The Menu path for S00 t-code is System-->Short Message.

Any clues ?
