Confusion with "Description of the Cube"...

Hi,

Right now we are in development phase of 7.0 implementation for a retail customer where we got same server for development and testing.

The development is almost over and right now we are testing our reports.

We are using SAP delivered BC cube 0RT_C01. But its description is <b>"Article - Example Cube - Not for Production Operation"</b>

does it mean we cant use this cube in production?? We are almost done with all the developments and on the phase of transporting everything to production server.

We cant afford to change the cube now coz all the transformations are finalised and I dont think we have an option of copying the transformations to another cube.

could anyone suggest what does this description means....

Hello:

We are in the process of using the 0RT_C01 cube.

Looking at the note i am skeptical, if we should use the cube or not.

Jagpreet Singh or anyone else who have use this Info cube can you please recommend or provide us with some insight if you had any trouble using the cube in Production or Development

Hi,

The description of this cube was changed because the cube is very big

and there were some performance problems concerning this cube.

The recommendation is to design your own cubes which

include exactly these characteristics and key-figueres you really

need. Normally the cubes delivered by SAP are only a template to

show what a customer possibly could report in BW.

But now we are almost done with all the developments in this cube. So can we just continue working with this cube in production also??

I guess if you use the cube in production, you will have performance issues.
