what is the diffrence between in bound and out bound deliveries

Hi Jyothi,
Inbound deliveries are used in MM for Purchase Process.
I hope you know about Outbound deliveries used in SD in Sales Process.
Just have a look at following purchase flow, it will make you understand about inbound delivery.
Step 1: ME21N (Create PO)Use Document type as standard PO (NB), maintain conformation control.
Step 2: VL31N (Inbound Delivery) w.r.t. PO and Vendor
Step 4: MIGO (Select Inbound Delivery option instead of Purchase order)
Step 5: MIRO
Inbound Deliveries are particularly important when client want to implement Serial Number Concept.

in bound deliveries means receiving of goods by factory or depot from other factories/depot/vendor/sales returns
out bound deliveries means sending the goods by factory or depot to other factories/depot/customers.
