Machine hour dep.configuration

Hi....

Can any one give for Machine hour rate depreciation configuration steps. My client is calculating depreciations based on the plant working hours.

I have one more doubt normally SAP system is calculating depreciation based on Asset Capitalization date with respective rate of depreciation key assigned to master data... While uploading the data the asset is having some value based on the depreciation key the system is calculating depreciation....

Ex: Asset Value SLM Dep. Rate After depreciation the asset value

10000 10% 1000 9,000/-

My doubt would be instead of giving dep.rate i have to the value 1000/- fixed depreciation amount..... How it is possible...

Also i willl tell u....Y am asking this question After uploading the data if we give dep rate it will be calculating WDV value

Ex:Assume the Asset Value is 9000/- If we 10% dep. rate the system is calculating depreciation would be 900/-actual it is wrong....

Read couple of times u can understand the problem...

Hi

With in the depreciation key there are options to calculate base don units produced etc.

There is a sample depreciation key use that to configure for your requirement

you may have to use enhancement to the depreciation key to be able to determin the plant hours etc
