BEx Analyser and Office 2003/2007 Problem

Former Member

Hi,

I've installed Office 2007 but it seems not to work with Bex Analyzer (BW 3.5)

I think SAP says it will work end of september (Note 1040856)

But I've installed Office 2003 too. How is it possible that Bex reports open with 2003 and not with 2007? Can I change some settings here?

Thank your for your answers, but my problem still exists.

I have SAP GUI 6.40, BW 3.5 Level 16 and SEM-BW 4.0 Level 14.

And when I open a report, I get the following error message in Excel 2007 and the Query is not calculated.

<internal error> document: workbook storage fault (read/open)

When I refresh the query, I get many error messages like

<internal error> problem when writing table: C_T_VARIABLES

and then sometimes the query ist calculated.

But it doesn't work fine, and I think GUI 6.4 isn't ready for Excel 2007:

My idea was to open the reports with Excel 2003, because it is also installed on my computer.

To open the reports with Excel 2007 would be even better, but I don't know what I have to do for that. (install notes, new GUI, ....)

Hi Peter,

have you solved this problem. If yes - could you explain how you solved it. If no - is there anybody out there facing the same problem.

Thx.

Hi,

the error messages "<internal error> problem when writing table: C_T_VARIABLES"

in BExAnalyzer 3.5 are due to the installation of an external Microsoft macro

called "Eurotool.XLAM" and to fix the issue you need to deactivate it.

1. Open Excel and select "Excel Options" from the "Office Button"( you

can find this icon in the left top corner of Excel).

2. This will take you to the screen in which you can find different

excel options in the left side and their related information in the

right side.

3. Now select "Add-Ins" from the left side of the screen.

4. Now click on "Go" from the right side of the screen.

5. It will show all the available Add-Ins in the Excel. Unselect the

macro which causes the problem.

Now the queries run correctly.

Hi,

I have a SAP 3.5 and just now I have installed office 7.0 and it's working absolutely fine.

I didn;t have to install any Notes also.We are in SP13

There is an option of ADDINS in the Excel in Bex anlyzer when you open it.There you can get the option to open the query query.

May be I am not getting your exact issue. Please do reply.

Thanks

You might be able to if you re-install the SAP Gui, are you using 640? if so it should open with Office 2007.
