Non order-related scheduling with CA97N

All,

I would like to use transaction CA97N to determine the in-house production time however the program RCPMAU03 does not have the standard production version determination logic to determine the active production version. The program only looks at the status of the routing and if it is released, it uses it to calculate the in house production time.

The program is just not fit for purpose because many companies use the production version to determine the active Routing and BoM.

My questions are:

1. How have you overcome this issue?

2. is there an OSS note stating that this is standard behaviour for CA97N or
