Dialog Box doesn't appear in the browser.??

Dear Team,

We have currently upgraded our SAP system from R/3 4.6 to ECC 6.0. We

are using the ITS services for ESS and MSS Services..

We have migrated the services from Stanalone ITS to Integrated ITS. We

are facing a problem when the "User doesn't Exist" in the HR Records.

"zadmleave" is a service which we are using for leave application. The

transaction for the corresponding service is "ZEADMINISTRATORLEAVE" and

"SAPMZEPLANNEDLEAVE" is the Dialog Program name .

We are facing a problem when "User doen't exist" in the HR Records.

When we execute the transaction in SAP we get a popup error message

saying "User XXXXX Doesn't exits in this period"(Message No:5A359) but

when we execute the corresponding ITS service in Browser we don't get the error message we simply get Screen with a button with "Start SAP Easy Access" on it

We want the same popup dialog box to appear in Browser as well.

We have set the following parameters in SICF for the service.

~AUTOSCROLL 0

~GENERATEDYNPRO 1

~LISTSCROLLING 0

~POPUPS 1

~STYLE DHTML

~TRANSACTION ZEADMINISTRATORLEAVE

~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE EWT

These parameters are the same which we had set in our service file for

Standalone ITS. The screen is generated dynamically at runtime. It is an

Easy Web Transaction.

Requesting you to please provide us the solution to the above

issue at the earliest..

Thanks & Regards,

Subramanya

    Hello Subramanya,

it is not easy to give an answer. The "fine plain old" ESS services running with ITS in ECC 6.0 are not supported by SAP anymore.

What happens if you use SAP GUI for HTML (webgui)? Are you running inside a Portal?

    With best regards,

    TJ

    • Hello Subramaya,

currently I am working on a small article in the Wiki area of the ITS (Wiki, ITS HowTos): https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/UsingSAPGUIforHTMLinsteadofanIAC">Using SAP GUI for HTML instead of an IAC or EWT service</a>.

Also see notes 1010519, "SAP GUI for HTML: Simplified Title Area Without Menu and OK Code" and 959417, "Integrated ITS, Closing Session When Transaction Ends". I am pretty sure that this is exactly what you are looking for.

      With best regards,

      TJ

Resolved by using ~webgui_simple_toolbar along with ~singletransaction
