Hi Expeters,

Can you please provide me some links or documents regarding how to connect Development Infrastructure (NWDI) thru NWDS tool for SAP PO Iflows and BPMs., and how do we transports objects thru DI?

I know how to create SAP PO transport objects thruough CTS+ in 7.4 versions. Similarly I want to know the process in NWDS for Iflows and BPMs.

Currently my landscape is, Dev, Qality and PRD and NWDI.

Can you please help me out to find the Developement process in NWDI thru NWDS tool and transport mechanism.

Thanks,

Chandar

You have mentioned correctly - for this scenario it is better to use CTS+ (which means TMS - CM Services - NWDS - RTS)

On the whole the software logistics process is not that different than for the other developments - like WebDynpro, EP, CRM, MEE and etc.

If you have set up the TMS and the NWDI as per:

How To... Configure CM Services in SAP NetWeaver 7.3 and Up

then what is left is to import the Development Configuration in the NWDS.

Then syncronize with the DTR, create activity and DC.

Development Steps in Component Development with the NWDI

Once this is done you check-out, activate and release the activity.

Please go through this document and the sub documents to have a common understanding about the software logistics steps in the CM Services:

Using CM Services

Please go through this document and the sub documents to have a common understanding about the software logistics steps in the NWDS:

Working with Source Control

Use Export Service in NWDS: This is available from within Transport View in NWDS in the top right.

Doing an export with Export Service of CM Services, the activities should all be released. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/EN/87/9a15275b8f4b5382084b385c8b83dc/content.htm

On the CM Services "Include Sources" should be 'ticked-in' as option (next to Include Archives)

Otherwise it is possible the Activities not to be released from NWDS

As I have mentioned previously there is no difference for CTS+ what you do transport. So the above documents do apply.

The only difference will be the SCAs that are added in the CM Services and the content itself that will be written in the NWDS.

For the BPM related matters it would be better to address your further querries to the BPM experts. The relevant tag is:

SAPBusiness Process Management

However, before that, you might have a look on the guides in the "Documentation" section, on this link:
