Can NUMKR feature be used for personnel sub areas

Hi All,

Can you please help in finding out if NUMKR feature be used to assign the number ranges for personnel sub areas??

Currently we are using company code to determine the Number ranges. I have also tried with personnel areas. Its working fine.

My query is, if, a company has about 5 personnel areas, and each personnel area has about 3 sub areas, then how to proceed with the number ranges. Sub areas should be capturing the number ranges respectivily.

first we need to change the decision tree

to change the decision tree follow like this

goto pe03 transaction

give numkrs

select attributes radio button

select change

next screen select struct push button

select the psa check box and then save and activate

The Action looks for a return value ( a number range ) from the NUMKR feature.. the decision tee is yours..Try expanding your decision tree ie.. put the Subarea nodes under each Pers Area.. it should work..

we can assign based on the following only

BUKRS Company Code

WERKS Personnel Area

BTRTL Personnel Subarea

PERSG Employee Group

PERSK Employee Subgroup

MOLGA Country Grouping

PERNR Personnel Number

ANSVH Work Contract

MASSG Reason for Action

Hi ,actually this is from ECC 6.0 ,I tried by assigning the pers subarea under pers area and i can assigned number range for PSA,but in case of hiring action the number will be generated from pers area ,its not picking the number range from pers subsrea.can you help out from this problem

and assign different number ranges for different PSA's in numkr feature

ya different number ranges are alloted to PSA ,but still its not picking the values from the number ranges which is alloted for PSA under pers area.

yes the feature activated.actually the in case other pers areas its picking values,but under one pers area there is some subareas for those sub areas have a variation in number ranges, in that case those number ranges are not picking for respective PSA.

if not try to follow like that it may work

ya i tried this way also still its not picking number ranges from PSA fields.its picking number range from others node of PSA
