Can't Upload Data in the Infosource

Hi All,

I am trying to load data in a infosource (OIM_FA_IQ_9) in investment management infoarea. But when i am trying to schedule data upload i am getting the below message.

<b><i>"No data targets have yet been updated from this request. (It might be that no data targets have been defined or selected yet). Do you really want to load data?"</i></b>

In the data target tab i have selected "Update in all data targets for which active rules exist"

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Even if there are inactive update rules, you can still see the data targets in the InfoPackage tab. If you cannot see any data targets, then the issue is one we mentioned above.

I checked my cube and the infosource and found that i was missing on the Update rules as mentioned in the above replies.

But now when i am trying to create the update rules i am getting the below error.

<b>IC=0IMFA_1 IS=0IM_FA_IQ_9 error when checking the update rules</b><i></i>

I am using a content Infosource (0IM_FA_IQ_9) and a content cube (0IMFA_1) but there are no update rules available for this infosource in the content so i have to create them.

Please advice on how to resolve the update rules activation error

Hi,

in the data target tab of the infopackage, are there any targets in the list? If yes, are all update rules in status green (active)?

In the data target of the infopackage there are no Data Targets mentioned. I have selected update in All Data Targets. And when i am trying to select data target- i am not able to do any thing.

I was sucessful in uploading the data in other infopackages in the same way.

Hi Ankur,

If there ae no data targets mentioned in the data targets tab of the InfoProvider, you need to check if you have created update rules from this InfoSource to any data targets, and if yes, then check if these are cubes that are also enabled for planning. You can right click the cube in RSA1 and enable it for loading.

Hi,

so in your case you have no update rules at all from your infosource to any data target. That is why the message is coming up. You can only load the data up to psa. Before you will be able to load it to a data target, you need to define a update rule from you infosource to a infoprovider. Then it will work.

Hi Ankur,

Earlier You were successfull in uploading the data bcoz the update rules for all the data targets that were linked to this infosource were Active.

There would be some inactive update rules of any Data targets, that got linked up to the infopackage, which you are currently using to load the data.
