BOM Transfer

Dear All

Can anyone explain me wat are all the configuration i have to do for transfer the BOM to project Builder

The purpose of transaction CN33 is the transfer of bill of material (BOM) to network activities, whereby one BOM is transferred per CN33 run. CN33 assigns material only to one project, but within the project to several distinct networks.

In order to use CN33 you will need the following:

-A material, sales order or project BOM. Please bear in mind that Sales order BOM and project BOM have to be firmed at the top level (for example by using the CSKB (sales order) or CSBP (project) BOM)

-A project with relevant network and activities

In customizing, you must create:

-reference points to identify the components items with their corresponding possitions in the network (ie. assignement to the activities). In this case, you will have to create the reference point and then infor it in the material component in CS02 and in the corresponfing activity in CN22 or CJ20N.

If you do not create the reference points, you will have to do the manual assignment of the components to the activties during the CN33 run.

-You will also have to create a profile. This profile is needed for selection matters and to define the transfer paramenters in the starting screen of CN33.

-In OPMZ you can customize also the entry screen (field selection)

I Created reference Point in SPRO and i created BOM and i gone to CN33 i assigned project definition,WBS,Reference point and Material there and i clicked the transfer tab.Then i gone to CJ20N Screen in activity general tab i assigned reference point there.But i am not getting the BOM there.Kindly help me regarding this issue

Hi,

1. Go to your BOM, double click on material. Assign your reference point over there.

2. In CN33 dont click on transfer, click on execute or F8

The refernce point should be at 2 places: 1. In CJ20N Activity assignment tab 2. In CS02 Material tab. Be sure your project is not in edit mode. This hould solve your problem.

I Followed your steps but i am not getting my BOM in CJ20N.Here my doubt is i suppose to get BOM in Component overview screen only know.But i am not getting My BOM there.Kindly solve my issue

Hi,

You might have missed some steps / details in BOM transfer process e.g. reference point both in network activity & material components in BOM, BOM transfer profile. Please review BOM transfer process from the beginning in line with the thread. You will definitely get the result.

The Problem is solved.Now i am getting BOM in CJ20N.Earlier the problem is i didn`t assign BOM profile in CN33
