Can't select Crystal Reports 2011 as default program for .rpt files.

I have installed Crystal reports 2011, but am unable to select it as a default program for .rpt fiiles. Additionaly, I can browse to it, since it's not listed and I can select the crw32.exe program, but when it goes back to the select default program screen it's not there. Any ideas? Could it be a registry issue? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing several times.

Be sure to install it under a local PC Administrator account so it gets added to any ones User Profile when selected.

Sounds to me like you don't have permission.

Try right clicking on crw32.exe and selecting Run As Administrator

PS - time to upgrade to Windows 10
