SAP GUI Connection problem in WinNT environment

hi

Some of our end usrs were having problem in connecting to our SAP Server.

Though their reaching the R/3 Server but still after giving user id & password, its not proceeding.

After checking Dispatcher error log, i found the error as "10054: WSAECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer". The SAP Note 155147: describes the problem and puts some solution also.

But what i want to know, do i have to do the Registry changes only in R/3 Server or to all End user PCs with WinNT ??

Please clarify.

Hi,

I have SAP R/3 4.7 on HP-UX 11.23 & Oracle 9i. Users are facing slow performance issues while working on these SAP servers...what are the checks at the Oracle Database level, if there is any tuning can be done to improve the overall performance. Please Help.

Thanx

Performance tuning is an iterative process, there´s no one-for-all parameter setting, that will fit.

If your feel, that you whole system is slow, I suggest getting an Early Watch for your production system, they will check all parameters and configurations remotely and give advises what can be done to improve performance.

It´s difficult if not impossible to give advises here, too less is know (operating system configuration, number of users, number of implemented modules etc. etc.)

"Connection reset by peer" is a network related issue, did you check if you have intermittent network problems?

yes, at times its bit slow...but with this same network, end users are connecting to HP-UX Servers.

Problem is only with our WIn 2000 Server SAP R/3 Server.
