Enhance Z Datasource on a VIEW

Hi,

I had a Z data source dased on a view.

Can i enhance it (include 3 new fields) use function module/exit in CMOD.

So them my enchanced datasource will be based on View & Function Module.

Hi,

if you fields are available in the tables of your views then they should be populated directly. Add the fields in your view; change your datasource accordingly and check in RSA3.

If they aren't you can enhance your datasource in RSA6 and add them there.

Then as you perfectly said use CMOD to populate them.

Your enhanced datasource will still be based on view. A generic datasource is based on FM when you write the whole extractor which is not your case since your are extracting your data via a database view.
