automatic po.

hi sd gurus, i have 1 doubt,automaic po, in doc type,and itemcategry has any relvence in thirdparty order..?

when we check that button, it means there will be automatic purachse order is raised the momemnt we save the order.is it usefull in thirdparty order?

please explein me
