plz,,.let me know the diff b/w configuration at client level and plant level.....what all we do in these two....?

client level:

you have to the configuration of the company cost, controlling area, cost calculation, plant of different production lines, sales distribution channel,material master

in plant level

its specific to the plant data's

here you have to define the warehouse, work center ,cost center, std hierarchy, routing,

Hi Shrinivas,

This is the types of Master Data.

Master Data are mainly Three types in SAP.

1) Client Level Data

Data common across a client. E.g. Company code, Currency, Plant, sales organization.

2) Plant Level Data

Data common to a plant. E.g. Storage Location

3)Transaction Data

Data created during transaction. E.g. Production order, Purchase order.

This is the differnece between the client level & plant level of configuration.
