Release creation profile

Hi ,

When i try to create release creation profile in vendor master date (XK02) i.e to define the release creation profile in the plant-specific purchasing data. the Alternative Data tab is in disable mode.

What is Release creation profile?

How to Configuration ? please explain step by step?
