Can we assign one GL account to two company codes.

Yes ... You can

You can create 2 separate G/L account with same number in 2 different Company Code, but you cannot have one G/L account in 2 company code.

Hi,

GL Accounts are not assigned. GL Master record has two views Chart of Accounts view and Company Code view. In case if the same chart of Accounts is used by two company codes, a GL Account can be extended to the other Company Code.
