how to connect to calc views from outside HANA studio?

I have an sapui5 application in which I connect to my calc views. The problem is that HANA studio is very slow to work with so I would like to be able to do all my work from my standard desktop but the connection to my calc views won't work. Is there a way I can connect to them from outside HANA studio?
