Multiple alert with the same id

Hi,

we've got a confusing problem with the XI alerting.

We always get the same alert with the same message id but not at the same time. If we confirm or delete the alert it appears again a few seconds after the confirmation.

What could cause this? Has anybody any idea about this?

We solved the problem. If someone is interested in the solution here it is.

With the report RSALERTPROC we were able to delete all old and expired alerts and after running this report no other expired alerts were generated and the alerting is working as intended. Really strange.

In RWB, there is an option called "Suppress multiple alert" Enable this check box.

Hi Jai,

Thx for your answer, but this option is already checked and the alert appears only once in the alert inbox. After we confirm this single alert, the next alert comes up with the same id. Also it doesn't matter what count we set for the max. no. of deliveries. It's at the moment set to 3 but the alert appears again and again.

Edit: Ok, we checked the table "SXMSALERTLOGGER" and found the same alert over 1500 times and its growing. In the monitoring tools no job went wrong but it generates alerts in this table. Thats really confusing ....
