hi what is sp03, sp08 in COOKBOOK for example it webclient cookbook it says " WebClient CRM 5.0 SP03 "

can any one explain to me

Hi Rakesh,

SP03 and SP08 are service packs.

Similar to Microsoft, if they release any added functionality or correction for OS bugs, they release a service pack to fix or enhance the OS, SAP also follows the same concept of Service Package (SP).

for same version of software you may find different service packages with different problems addressed or features added.

Enhanced Webclient architecture is supported from CRM 4.0 SP08 and onwards and thus cookbook is applicable for SP08 and above.

If CRM system has SP07 and less then it is required to be fixed upto SP08 to use the enhaced capability of webclient. Please consult SAP Basis consultant.
