I have three sales order of Product "X", "Y" and "A"
Both product "X" and "Y" have same BOM component i.e "A". In all 3 products I am using strategy 20 and bom explosion "collective requirements only".
After MRP run, how many planned orders of product "A" shall I get ? one or two ?
Thanks buddy...

Hi,
Thanks for reply.

I think you misunderstood my question.
I have two sales order of Product "X" and "Y".
Both product "X" and "Y" have same BOM component "A". In all 3 products I am using strategy 20 and bom explosion "collective requirements only". There is one more independent sale order of product "A" also. so there will be three requirements for Product "A". Two from dependent requirement from Product "X" and "Y" and one independent requirement from sales order of "A".
My question is, after running MRP, how many planned orders of "A" will be created ?

Hi,
Thanks A Lot, for the quick feedback/inputs
Sorry, for the misunderstanding of the requirement from my end
If this is the Case, there will be 2 Planned Orders, of "A".
One Planned Order, with the Dependent Requirements together( as mentioned earlier)
Second Planned Order, for the requirement of own Sales Order
Kindly check & let me know your feedback/comments, please
Thanks & Regards : Raja
Hello
If you are using planning strategy 20, system will generate sales orders assigned to the sales order individual stock, that means, one planned order for each sales order.
What you can do is to set the field "individual/collective" of the component to "collective requirements only". In this case, the dependent requirements will not be assigned to the sales order individual stock. Depending on the lot sizing procedure, you may get a single planned order for all the requirements.

Caetano
