Does Design Studio not recognize the standard BOIMG setting for images?

For Webi and Crystal Reports putting the graphics in the <install_Root>

\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\images directories allows the images to be accessed using <boimg>://ogoname.png)

Does Design Studio support boimg?

Are there plans for it to support it directly with the image location?

Will Design Studio allow graphics to be called from the CSS file using BOIMG? This is the preferred approach because the images are outside the app and will be cached by the webserver

Hi Rick,

Interesting idea to have all images in one place. But why do you think the images are not cached if placed alongside the app? With every DesignStudio dashboard upload all files like css and images are uploaded seperately in a folder that you can specify. They are not packaged with the dashboard file. Depending on your java app server settings those external files should be cached. You can check your browser's developer tools for example. Choose the network sniffer, uncheck "disable cache" and watch for http code 302 on the files that you expect to be cached.

Kind regards

Rick - in my experience, the images are stored where you tell them in the application

I didn't realize that Crystal and Web Intelligence had a standard place in config for this

I don't see an existing idea for this in Idea Place - - I recommend you create the idea and link back to it here so others can support it.

An idea has been submitted to have all tools in the SBOP framework be able to use the same methods and locations for images / logos etc.
