material deletion flag

hi all

I set a deletion flag to the material, in the MMBE it shows deletion flag, but I don’t want to show the stock in MC.9 after deletion flag is set, what is the procedure if I do not want to show the stock in MC.9.

Pls tell me as early as possible.

Hi,

What you would have done is just marking the material for deletion. It does not result in elimination of stock of this material from your inventory. Hence, SAP logically reports such stocks in your inventory reports.

However, what I know (but not tried) is that after marking the material for deletion, once you do archiving of such material master record, from then onwards you will stop seeing such materials.

Hi,

System will not allow to delete a material if the stock of the material is lying in the plant.

If you wnat the deleted material not to appear in the list of MC.9, then exclude the material at initial screen at Material tab.
