Batch Management :SLED

Dear Sapians,

We are in the process of implementing Batch Management. I have configured all the settings. Now my problem is While issuing goods to the cost centre or against production order, The system gives the following message

" The Batch is inconsistence with the selection procedure".

<b>I want to issue the goods based on the Shortest Self Life first principle.</b>

What could be missing ??
