Hi All,
During the Content Server configuration when we are trying to create a repository, system is throwing the error as follows.
HTTP error: 500 (Internal Server Error)
"CreateTab ContentStorage, connect error
SQLConnect failed, [Microsoft][ODBC Driver
Manager] Data s
does anyone has any idea on this??
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Hi,
In Internet Explorer, turn off the "Friendly HTTP error messages" by choosing
Tools - internet options - advanced and uncheck the "Show friendly HTTP error messages." Then the full error messages will be displayed, as well as the line number of the error.

I issued the command from note 301352 to register the driver and it worked.
odbcreg LiveCache -i -p c:\sapdb\programs\pgm
Note that in CSADMIN the parameter 'driver' in the Settings tab is LiveCache. You could probably play around with that and change it but I just issued the command exactly as in the note.
Hi,
i am also have same issue ..
i followed the below notes
notes 658442 , 514500, 698915 and 301352,851146,
now 977091 as per this note i am not able to change the setting tab
.Because i am not able to access it.
It gives " HTTP error :500 internalServer Error "
582765 --> AS per this note i did it in DBMgui. it throw error " unknow DBM command "CREATE"
I am not able to connect the SQL studio.. it throw error " ODBC error : unable to connect to data source -709"
need help..
I had some connection problems until I created myself as a Local Administrator on the Win 2K3 server. A domain account with local admin rights did not work, had to be a local user. This may not be your issue as I think the first error I was getting was HTTP error: 401 (unauthorized).
Did you reboot after issueing the exact command in note 301352?
I'm assuming the database is up and the CS status is "running".
I didn't have to change the settings tab. Try just creating a new one. Here's how mine looks:
ContentStorageHost localhost
ContentStorageName DB1
Storage ContentStorage.dll
Security 1
ContRepDescription Archive files: SAP Content Server - MaxD
driver LiveCache
DefaultDocProt
Lastly, just to see that everything else is working create a filesytem repository, then you won't need ODBC. It will take out a variable. For that my parameters are:
ContRepRoot D:\zdata
Storage FileSystemStorage.dll
Security 0
ContRepDescription Test for SAP Content Server
DefaultDocProt
Note I played around with the 'Check signature' field on the Details tab which sets the 'Security' value above to '0'. I'll probably change it back.
Good luck
