Remodelling -- Functional Module for adding new Char in Infoprovider

Hello Gurus

I am having the following scenario.

New Char InfoObject has to be added to the Inventory Infoprovider without deleting the data ( it contains around 40 millions data). i am implementing Remodeling Customer Exit.

What is the relevant Functional Module for addition ?

Could u suggest ?
