Hi all,

We are maintaining Variable (V) price in material master.And we are doing teco and settlement for production orders to update the material price in the material master.

For make to stock scenario the production orders are created independently.

And for Make To Order scenario, the production orders are with reference to sale order.

The system is updating the material price for Make To Stock scenario.But it is not updating the material price in the material master for Make To Order scenario.

But when the production order is created against sale order, and when we run Teco and settlement, the system is not updating the material price in the material master.

Can anybody help me in this issue to be resolved?

If i remember properly in the requirement class if the valuation is defined as "M" instead of "A" it should help in your case.... I dont have access to SAP system now to confirm this.. please try it out for yourself.

The requirement class is derived based on the requirement type which is used in the sale order item... you can check this in the procurement tab of the sales order item details..

you have to maintain the STANDARD VALUE KEY in the MRP1 VIEW

WHICH determain the variable cost . while the order closing stage we can calculaed as per the mentioned

Yes with sale order production order the material price is not affected. It is only for plant stock. The Moving average price for sale order is updated individually for each sale order item. You can check this in transaction MBBS.

Thanks for your suggestion.

But the idea behind to maintain (V) for the material is to have the actual average price at any time.

If the price is not updated in the material master for MTO scenario then for that particular material there is no need to go for Variable price.

No need to do teco and settlement.

In MBBS it will show for that particular sale order stock only.

That we cannot take as material price.

Can you give any other alternative?

SAP shows a moving average price for indiviual sale order items. You can check that in the same report MBBS. Go to change layout and select the appropiate field.

The moving average price in the material master does not include speacial stocks. This is standard way SAP works.

If you are keen on getting the average in material master updated including special stocks you need to write a program which calculates this updates the material master with MR21 transaction.
