maintain settlement rule

During creating a production order, settlement rule is not automatically created. when selecting settlement receiver there is a error message deplayed <b>" distribution rule for material can not be created automatically".</b> i dont know how to solve. if any body can solve this problem please give the sollution...........

Are you using co-products in the order. In that case you need to maintain the distribution. The costs for the orders are assigned to the order header and then distributed to the individual co-products according to equivalence numbers. You need to define an apportionment structure in the material master of the main product. The apportionment structure specifies how the total costs should be distributed over the main product and the co-products.

Based on this data, the system automatically creates the settlement rule that distributes the total order costs over the main product and the co-products (that is, over the individual order items).

Are you creating the order with referance to materail or without materail.

In your case i think you are creating without material, so you need to manually maintain it in the header--->Settlement rule. You need to settle it to an order/cost center/wbs element etc... in this case you cannot settle it to materail.

If you are creating with referance to material, then check in transaction "KOT2" whether settlement profile is assigned... if not assing "PP01" as the settlement profile for the order type.

I am creating production order with material (CO01) with order type PP01 for plant 0001. then the problem happens: "Distribution rule for material can only be created automatically". Though I tried to maintain the settlement rule manually.

I have checked the change view order type (KOT2)

where settlement profile is assigned as: FA_ABP

Object class : Production

Func area: manufacturing

and colective order with automatic goods movement.

I still dont able to solve the problem. please give me a solution. Thanx....

I still not able to solve it. For plant 0001 the distribution rule is not generating automatically when I am creating production order with reference to material.
