Hi all

I am getting error while using movement type 242 in mb1a transaction code like this " Account xxxx for transaction event key ANL is not a control account"

Hello Phaneendra,

Did you get a solution for this? We are also having the same issue.

If we remove the control "Recon. account for accnt type" to blank, in FS00, we get the same error as you.

& if we don't remove the control "Recon. account for accnt type" , which is set to "A-asset" then we get the error "No direct posting is allowed to account xxxxx"

Kindly suggest how you managed to solve it. We are using movement type 241 to move stock to fixed asset.

Phaneendra,

You should ask your FI consultant if you are using the correct account in the posting.

If this is an asset reconciation account, then you need to maintain 'A' in the 'recon. account for acct type' field in the 'control data' tab in transaction FS00.

Keep in mind that the recon accounts are never designed for direct postings.

Thanks for your reply but if it is reconciliation account we cannot post directly in reconciliation account so, it is not a reconciliation account
