eCatt in webdynpro

I require some guidance regarding using ecatt for testing purpose for webdynpro for java and ep applications.

I have not tried this ever so I would appreciate a detailed information.

What is eCatt? Can you elaborate on that? So experts come to know then you may chance to get solution.

I think I m still not clear about my 2nd question. Let me rephrase it.

Currently, i do not have an ABAP stack in my WAS. So that means I can't use eCATT to test my webdynpro test scripts?

Please confirm.

Hi Kanwalpreet,

thanks for ur response. If I am not wrong , this is the procedure I would have to follow:

- Record the test script in webdynpro

-import the test script to ecatt(SAP GUI) and then run the webdynpro simulator

If I am not wrong, if I do not have ABAP stack in my WAS, I would not be able to record/import the test script generated by NWDS in some other WAS with ABAP stack.

And also, please explain how to arrive at some conclusions by comparing the test scripts and results?

Please provide some pointers regarding these doubts.
